LIVING NATIVITY DRIVE-THRU

    Living Faith Missionary Baptist of Fort Smith started the Living Nativity Drive-through 6 years ago.  It began as a dream by one of our members and fulfilled by a church with a heart for others.  We wanted to give a "Christmas Gift" to Fort Smith and surrounding communities.

    Planning sessions, set updates, costumes fittings keep our enthusiasm high.  We wanted a FREE way to express the real meaning of Christmas without you ever leaving your vehicle.

    Through the last years, we have seen familiar faces who keep coming back, saying, "we wouldn't miss it", "this is now our family's annual tradition" and even "we're back again, what's new this year?"  And every year we have so many new, first time visitors.  Some leave and come right back with more family and friends.  Last year there were 2400 people who came through the drive-through.

    It takes approximately 100 of our church family to make this happen.  You'll see the sets/scenes reflecting Isaiah receiving the prophecy of the coming Messiah through the trip to Bethlehem, the shepherds, the angels and even the birth of baby Jesus.

    Every year gets bigger and better.  A special thanks to Deer Acres that we reserve our animals a year in advance to help make the story complete.  The camels, sheep, goats, and a Bethlehem donkey always are a huge highlight.  This year a new baby camel will be with us.

    In just a short 8 minutes, you'll be exposed to the message in costumed people and in word.  We always are touched by the tears, the smiles, the letters and calls of encouragement to continue our program.  We will always remember when a grandmother called back to tell us, after going through, she had to pull off on the side of the road and call us to say her granddaughter had just been saved.

    Our annual FREE Drive-through is always the first weekend of December.  We welcome cars, trucks, vans, people-movers, buses, whatever, we will accommodate your visit.

    This year our dates are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 3-5 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm or until the last vehicle goes through.  We are located in south Fort Smith, off 540 at exit 14, go south on 271/253 to Living Faith Missionary Baptist (1 mile south of Beverly Enterprises/Golden Living)

    Watch around town for the red and white reminder signs.  We're waiting to see you this year!
