Bro. Jerry Grimes, Pastor

Living Faith is an exciting new Baptist Church with a vision for the future and a heart for people.  We believe church is something God intended for us to enjoy, not endure!  We preach and teach a traditional Bible-based message.  However, we are continually looking for progressive ways to communicate the old message of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  We strive to be a church that honors God and loves people.  If this sounds like the kind of church you have been looking for, please come join us!  Visitors are always welcome at Living Faith Baptist Church!

Our Past...
On June 21, 2000, a group of 14 people met together for a time of prayer and Bible study. From this meeting, the seeds were sown for the idea of beginning a new Missionary Baptist Church on the growing south side of Fort Smith. Interest grew and on July 13th the group voted to call themselves Living Faith MBC. On August 20th, Living Faith called Bro. Bill Driggers, Jr. as Pastor and Center Fork MBC in Hot Springs, AR, voted to serve as our sponsoring church. Members were received from 5 different sister churches and the work began with 64 members. After initially meeting in homes, the church occupied three places: the Fifth Season Inn, Essex Place and 2301 South 56th, Suite 108 before moving into our new building.

In January 2001, a 16-acre parcel of land was purchased at the intersection of Highway 253 and Highway 45. In December 2001, the first phase of construction began. In July 2002, the congregation with 129 members moved into the new facility.

Our Present...
Living Faith MBC is a church with a heart for people. We actively seek new members to join us in the great work of God. We are developing several ministries, including an exciting youth ministry to help our families train up their children in the nurture of our Lord.

We strive to contact our elderly members on a regular basis to see about their needs. Hospital visitation is also an important way we seek to demonstrate our concern for our extended church family.

Frequent fellowship opportunities abound. But the primary focus of our church will always be the preaching and teaching of the eternal truths of God's precious Word.

Our Future...
If the Lord delays His return, we will begin planning a sanctuary building to be constructed east of the current building.
