Purpose & Mission

Our Purpose…

Understanding that the fullness of God is in Living Faith by Christ Jesus, our purpose is to honor Jesus Christ our Lord to the glory of His Father and our God. We recognize that our purpose can only be realized as we come into a full knowledge of the surpassing love of Christ which is plainly demonstrated by the sacrifice of Himself on the cross on our behalf. Embedded in the demonstration of Christ’s love is the call that we love one another as He loves us which we manifest by our integration into the functioning of Living Faith as members of one another and by our interactions with each other and with others.

Our Mission…

Because we have known and believed the love God has for us in His Son, we will carry the testimony of Jesus Christ as His ambassadors in all our services and activities, in our community and families, and into all the world through our involvement with worldwide missionary work. We confess that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God who has reconciled us to God by His death and who has given us assurance of our salvation by His resurrection. We recognize that Jesus is the Head of Living Faith equipping us to carry forward His work of reconciliation by persuading others with the help of the Holy Spirit to believe the gospel, profess their faith in baptism, and become integrated into the functioning of Living Faith as a member of the body and into the fellowship of Jesus Christ.

Our Vision…

Our vision is that for the next 100 years is that we and those who follow us will be faithful to carry the testimony of Jesus Christ. We will do this by being discipled by Jesus Christ and His Word ourselves and by discipling those who are persuaded to believe in Jesus Christ. Our emphasis will be on educating our members so that they can faithfully testify who Jesus is, what He has spoken, and what He has accomplished in His death, burial, and resurrection. We will gather in submission to God, our Father, as we give honor to His Son to His glory. We will acknowledge our gratitude for our salvation by praise and thanksgiving. We will celebrate the blessings of God recognizing that He is the one who is working in us to will and to do His good pleasure. We will sorrow with those who are grieving, but we will not do so without the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
